We are open 10am to 7pm, 7 days a week for adoptions.
In the meantime, we are having a ‘Good Buy’ sale at the Fairfield Shelter, which will run up until this Sunday 4 December. Dogs and puppies are $350, and you will get an extra canine merchandise pack worth $350 for free! Cats and kittens are $199 and you will receive a feline merchandise pack worth $200 for free! So come along and find your furever friend this week.
What a difference 3.5 weeks can make in building our new facility. The upper floor of admin is now finished. The cattery is finished, the Inspectorate Drop Off Area is finished, the Warehouse is finished!
The ground floor level of the admin block is very close to being finished, and the Vet Hospital and Wildlife Hospital look the part. Many of the accommodations for animals in holding are arriving at the end of the month, with kennels at the end of November.
Oh, and our fencing is going up for the paddocks and soon there will be earth moving equipment on site as we start the shaping of the various exercise yards, paddocks and the Animal Training fields. Things are shaping up!
The Animal Care Campus TVC has officially gone to air on Channel 9! Make sure you watch out for RSPCA Qld ambassadors Matthew Hayden and Sylvia Jeffreys over the next few weeks. Here is a copy, what do you think?
It is 104 days until we start to close the chapters on RSPCA Qld at Fairfield. For some this has been a long time coming, and we are all very excited!
Years in the making, this facility is going to revolutionise animal welfare in Queensland, and have a massive impact on a positive outlook for companion animals, livestock and wildlife around the state.
We will post some images soon so you can all see the progress!
